As she watched the snow goose, she could hear Philip's voice. It seemed to call to her, 'Fritha, Fritha, my love. Goodbye, my love. (p.23)I read 'The Snow Goose and other Stories'. This book is love story and unhappy story. Philip Rhayader lived in a lighthouse. He wanted to live alone and the people in village didn't like him because they were afraid of him. But, he was kind to animals. One day, a little girl came to his house with an injured goose to help it. Then, she found he was a kind man. They were getting along and he noticed that he was fall in love with her. However, they were caught up in a war and he went to the war. The book made me sad because I thought she was poor.
