"The Jigsaw Puzzle"

The children can't go outside so they stay in and do a jigsaw puzzle.
In the end, everyone got bored. The magic key began to glow. The magic took the children into a new adventure. (p. 5)

 I read "The Jigsaw Puzzle". The story is strange and interesting. the children met Edmund and her family. Suddenly, the soldiers were coming. Her father must hide because they want to find him and kill him. Chip had an idea that help him escape. I
was surprised that the woman was a menial, not Edmund's father. Perhaps her father would run away and survive.

Chocolate cake

In Saturday, I made a chocolate cake. I usually use chocolate cream made from fresh cream and chocolate of Ghana. But in this time, I used ganache and fresh cream. Ganache make from starch syrup and milk and sweet chocolate. New chocolate cream was very delicious! I will make a cheesecake next time.

"Billy Budd"

1797 - the Mediterranean. Britain and France are at war. British warships are fighting French warships.
Young Billy Budd arrives on the British warship, indomitable. Billy is strong and handsome. Most of the sailors on the ship like Billy. But he has an enemy - John Claggart, the master-at-arms.
Claggart hates Billy. And he has a plan. He will make trouble for the young soilor.

I read "Billy Budd". I was greatly touched by Billy's generosity and the captain's decision. Billy killed Claggart because he lied that Billy is a bad man and that made Billy angry. Billy is a gentleman and everyone likes him, but he commits a crime. The captain don't have troubles, especially he don't have insurrections. He thought if Billy is executed, the crews may revolt. However, he made a decision that Billy will be executed because he must follow the law.

"The Bear's Mouth"

 At the summer camp two teams have to race to find some flags hidden in the
forest. They are told the final flag is "in the bear's mouth." Who finds the flag, and how do they get it out of the bear's mouth.

I read "The Bear's Mouth". I thought that it is important to plan and cooperate. The red team is Ryan, Faye, and Gemma. They are the best runners, but they didn't have cooperative. The green team is David, Jenny, and Kerry. They told about the flags, and help each others. Also, David is so brave. I want to be a person who have cooperative like David.

”Where's Lorena?”

Alex's mother asks him to take his younger sister Lorena out. When he is with her, he sees some friends.
Alex doesn't want his friends to see him with his little sister, so he tells her to wait while he speak with them. But when he comes back, Lorena is not there. Where is she?

 I read "Where's Lorena?". I think that Lorena is a smart girl because she called her mother for help although she is four years old. When I was little girl, I asked my sister to take out and play with me as Lorena. I think that made my sister unhappy.

Backstage Pass

Your favorite band, The Martians, is coming to town. Will you end up playing with them on stage, or... in jail?

 I read "Backstage Pass". The book is Atama-ii series. Atama-ii books are multiple-path adventures.
　I choose 'Or do you try to help Julie' and 'Do you ask for favorite song'. I was excited because I didn't know if the story will be happy end or bad end.
 My last choice was 'Or you try to find Julie'. I helped Julie and I was hero! If I hadn't found her, she would have dead.

Yukata

 Last Friday, I went to Youmetown Hamasen with my mother. I bought a book on reports.
 And I went to a shop to get a yukata and a obi because I applied the shop's campaign and I was the prize winner. I was happy.
 After then, we returned home and I dressed the yukata and the obi. I want to dress them and go summer festival!

"Japan"

 What is Japan? It is everything new and modern: the Tokyo Sky Tree, 634 metres high; amazing cameras and phones; karaoke and manga; trains going past at 300 kilometres an hour. And it is everything timeless too: beautiful palaces; high mountains and hot springs; cherry blossom; quiet gardens with water and tree. Here the past meets the future all the time. From sumo wrestlers to robots, Japan has something amazing for everybody.

 I read "Japan". I live in Japan, but while I read the book, I was very excited. Because there are a lot of Japanese things that I had not known ever. Also, the book explained them in detail, so I'm proud of being Japanese. I want people in Japan and in many other countries to know about Japanese things.

"Cinderella"

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful girl named Cinderella. She lived with two stepsisters, who were very mean.
One morning, an invitation came. The hand some price was having a ball!
"I wish I could go to the ball, too," cried Cinderella. Poof! A lady with a magic wand appeared. It was Cinderella's fairy god mother!(pp.2-5)

 I read Cinderella. When I was a little child, I read it in Japanese. But I had never read it in English. After I read it, I thought Cinderella written in English is different from it in Japanese.

The Elves and the Shoemaker

Once upon a time, there lived a kind shoemaker and his wife. They were very,very poor.  

He put the leather on his table. The next morning, the leather had already been turned into a fancy pair of shoes! He sold them and got a lot of golds. 

After that, he and him wife wanted to know who was making all the fancy shoes? So, one night, they decided to find out...(pp. 2-10) 

I read The elves and the Shoemaker. It is interesting. And the elves are so cute. I think that the shoemaker is a kind man, and the elves know that. So, they want to help him.

My plan

I'm going to Kamitori on this Thursday. June 8th is my mother's birthday, so I'm going to sent her a present for birthday. She likes tea and she often drinks it. I'm planning to sent Kougeitya which is a kind of tea and  blooms when pour hot water into a cup. I hope that she is pleased.
