"The Ugly Duckling"

An exciting story adapted from the traditional fairy tale. 
An unhappy duckling grows into a beautiful bird.

I read "The Ugly Duckling". It has only 1,000 words. I read the book in Japanese when I was little. But I didn't remember the story. When I read it again, I thought it is different story. There are some people in it and I saw first them. Reading some books which I read before is interesting because I may know things overlooked.

"The Pied Piper of Hamelin"

An exciting story adapted from the traditional fairy tale. 
The Pied Piper helps the people kill the rats. They don't pay him and he is very angry...
I read  "The Pied Piper of Hamelin". It has only 1,400 words and so easy to read. Hamelin is a town and there were many rats. The people of the town are hungry because the rats have eaten all their food and they're thirsty because the rats have made all the water very dirty. If I lived in the town, I would be angry with the king and I wouldn't want to live there. Also I hated the king because he had cheated and hadn't kept his word. I thought that it is important to keep promises.

"Snow White and the Seven Dwarves"

A exciting story adapted from the traditional fairy tale.Snow White lives with the kind dwarves but is scared of her bad stepmother.
 I read "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves". It has only 1,000 words and it is so easy to read. I thought the prince kisses her to wake her up before I read the book. The story is so interesting. Someday, I want to see the movie!

"Jack and the Beanstalk"


An exciting story adapted from the traditional fairy tale.
Jack is poor until he finds a magic castle and kills the giant.


 I read "Jack and the Beanstalk". I have heard the title, but I didn't know the details of story. Jack is so bad man because he stole three things of the giant, a gold coin and a rarity and a gold harp. I was disappointed to read the story.

"Sara Says No!"


'You're dishonest, Father!' says Sara. 'You're cheating the customers! I don't want to work at the market.
'But you must work for me, Sara,'says her father. 'Children must help their parents. That's life.'
 I read "Sara Says No!". It is so exciting. I thought Sara is right. It is important to do fair business with customer. I want to be a person as her.

"Hansel and Gretel"

An exciting story adapted from the traditional fairy tale. 
Hansel and Gretel meet a terrible witch. She is very dangerous!
 I read "Hansel and Gretel". It has only 1,000 words. I have known the book. But, I didn't know that Hansel puts white stones on the ground when their parents take them to the forest for the first time. Also, their father appears on the book. I had never seen him. He is a so kind man!

"Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"


A very famous story from Roald Dahl. Charlie has a brilliant time and wins a big competition.


 I read "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". I have seen the movie, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" many time. I read the book for the first time. It is so interesting. But I prefer the movie to the book. I want to see it again!

"The New Adventures of Tom Thumb"

Tom Thumb takes a magical Flight on a butterfly.

Join him as he visits a fabulous palace and meets an unhappy princess.
I read "The New Adventures of Tom Thumb". It has only 1,000 words. At first, I thought the story likes as IssunBoushi which is Japanese fairy story. Tom is fearless because he enters the palace and springs the queen's drum in her room. If I were him, I wouldn't entered there.

"Rapunzel"

An exciting story adapted from the traditional fairy tale.

Rapunzel was stolen when she was a baby and needs help to run away.
I read "Rapunzel". It has only 1,400 wards. I had heard Rapunzel but I didn't know the story. It is so easy to read. I thought that Rapunzel has lived in tower since she was born before I read the book. I was excited. Also I want to see the movie.

"Peter and the Wolf"

Peter is clever and brave.


When a hungry wolf comes out of the forest, Peter, the bird, cat and duck know just what to do.
 I read "Peter and the Wolf". It has only 1,000 words. The story is so strange. The bird, cat, duck and wolf can speak! I thought that Peter is brave and unique because he caught the wolf and he send it to a zoo. If there are wolves in zoo, I want to go there.

"Red Roses"

'Who is the man with the roses in his hand?' thinks Anna. 'I want to meet him.'
'Who is the girl with the guitar?' thinks Will 'I like her. I want to meet her.'
 
But they do not meet. 
'There are lots of men!' says Anna's friend Vicki, but Anna cannot forget Will. And then one rainy day...
 I read "Red Roses". The book is an Oxford Bookworms Starter. It has 1,700 words. The story put me in a flutter because Anna and Will don't notice each other. So, I was stirred their casual meeting.

"Tea With Grumpyboots"


Sam is scared to meet grumpy old Mr Green when she has tea with Mrs Green. But when she starts to talk to him, Mr Green tells Sam about his childhood in the Second World War and she finally discovers the secret of his grumpiness.
I read " Tea With Grumpyboots". The book is a Longman Literacy Land Story Street. It is Mr Green's story in his childhood. It is so interesting. I was moved the story. I remembered a dog which I played with long ago.

"French Adventures Part 2"

Mr Hopkins is missing. Has he been kidnapped? Who were the sinister men in the church? Could Mr Hopkins be France's most wanted criminal? The friends are determined to find out.
 I read "French Adventures Part 2". I had already read "French Adventures Part 1". I was looking forward to reading the sequel. I thought that Mr Hopkins resembles a wanted criminal. It was a relief to prove that he was innocent.

"French Adventures Part 1"


The friend have lots of adventures on their school trip to France. From French ghosts appearing in their chateau to Mr Hopkins' strange disappearance from an old church, this is a trip they will remember.


 I read "French Adventures Part 1". The book is a Longman Literacy Land Story Street. The story is interesting. When Mr Hopkins was carried off, I didn't understand. Why was he carried off? But the book is finished. I want to read the sequel!

”The Nightingale"

Once upon a time, there was a king. He lived in a beautiful palace. In the forest behind the palace lived in a nightingale. The nightingale sang so sweetly. So the king want to hear the bird sing. Then, the nightingale came to his palace and sang. However, a toy nightingale came from the king of Japan, and he liked it. After then, the nightingale escaped from his palace. 
I read "The Nightingale".The book is so easy to read. Also, the book's illustration is so beautiful. I know that a nightingale sang so sweetly, but I have never heard him sing. I want to hear it!

My summer vacation

I am going to talk about my summer vacation. I plan to go to town with my friend who lives in Miyazaki. I am looking forward to seeing her. I want to go shopping and go to karaoke and eat sweet with her. Also, I plant to meet my high-school classmates on August 18th. our old Japanese teacher will come on the day. I enjoy talking with them!.

”Val's Diary"

School's over at last !Summer holidays are here but who wants to spread them in the countryside? Not Val, of course! She hates the country, but eventually she'll change her mind. Guess why! Read her diary and find out.
She tells her diary all about herself, her moods, her emotions and her dreams. This country holiday is really boring and she can't stand it but don't despair ... something very exciting will happen soon, thank to Luke and the others!
I read "Val's Diary". The book is a Teen ELi Readers. It is interesting, but it is a longer story. I like the countryside because country is clean air and we can contact nature. I want to go to country during my summer vacation!

How's it going?

 Hi, everyone, how are things? Now I join the club on kimono and I will enter kimono contest. So, I practice very herd. 
 Last Friday, I photographed for the contest. I'm looking forward to it. The contest is in November. I am going to practice at school and home.

"New York"

 New York - The Big Apple. The history of the city and some of the things you can see and do there today - the skyscrapers and the subway, the shops and the sports, the museums and the restaurants - and the people themselves. All the things that make New York the most exciting city in the world!
I read "New York". I knew about New York. For example, Some places to go and the statue of liberty and musics. I want to go to New York! Also, I like to see parades. So, I want to see St Patrick's Day parade, on 17 March, and Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, on the last Thursday in November. I learned some thing from the book.

  • Don't carry a lot of money with you,
  • Don't travel on the subway alone at night,
  • Stay with the crowds late at night,
  • Go into the nearest hotel or shop if you suddenly feel afraid.
 I remember them and I want to enjoy traveling in New York.

My shopping

 I'm going to talk about my weekend. I had planed to have a part time job, but I didn't have it because of heavy rain. So, I went to town to do some shopping. I bought some clothes and ate a pasta and ice cream. After then, I went to traffic center to buy commuter's ticket. I enjoyed my holidays.
